The Howdy! Welcome Program was founded in 1999 in the beautiful Sierra  Mountain Ridge community of Paradise,CA.

The founder, Danna Mack-Barnes was interested in forming a successful business focused on community & the people in it.

The Howdy! Welcome Program is just this type of business. It combines Danna’s background in advertising and publication as well as her creative interests and love of working with people. The first Howdy!Welcome Packages were delivered in gift basket form in the town of Paradise in 1999. They contained welcome offers and information from over 17 local merchants and organizations and were very well-received by both new residents and local businesses. 

Currently, in Paradise alone, the Howdy! Welcome packages represent over 75 local merchants, churches, organizations, etc. (hundreds throughout Northern California) and are a highlight to receive upon arriving to the Paradise and Magalia Ridge Communities. Howdy! expanded to Chico, CA in May 2000. A year later followed with the Lake Oroville program followed by others throughout the NorthState and beyond.

Since 2008, Howdy! has been rapidly expanding and sharing the opportunity with select individuals to own & run a welcome program in their own unique community. Check out our
